About Thomas Willenbring

I’ve called Oakdale home for years, and I’ve seen our community grow and evolve in meaningful ways. I’m committed to ensuring residents have a clear voice in the decisions that shape our neighborhoods, our taxes, and our future. Every person deserves to feel heard and included when choices are made about the place we call home.

I'm not a career politician. I'm a neighbor, a community member, and someone who shows up. I've attended city meetings, listened to residents from across the city, and studied the issues facing Oakdale firsthand. When I'm on the Council, you'll know exactly where I stand — and you'll always be able to reach me.

The Issues That Matter Most

Here's where I stand — in plain language.

Keeping Oakdale Affordable

Smart, Responsible Growth

A Safe Community for Everyone

Rising property taxes and housing costs are putting real pressure on Oakdale families. I will fight for responsible budgeting that doesn't place the burden on working residents and retirees. Every spending decision should be weighed against its impact on your bottom line. Oakdale should be a place where you can afford to stay.

Oakdale is growing — and that's not a bad thing. But growth has to be planned, not just permitted. I support development that enhances our community: that preserves green space, respects neighborhoods, and ensures our roads, schools, and services can keep up. I'll push for transparent planning processes that include residents from the start.

Our police, fire, and emergency responders are the backbone of community safety. I will advocate for the resources, training, and staffing levels that allow our public safety professionals to do their jobs effectively. At the same time, I support community-based strategies that build trust between residents and first responders.
